Anjali Prabhu
Forensic Science Student, Writer, and Speaker
About
I am a senior at BASIS Independent Fremont in Fremont, California. I am passionate about exploring forensic science and forensic chemistry and the various disciplines it links.
I have research experience in both organic chemistry and biochemistry, where I have worked on the synthesis, optimization, and analysis of various anticancer and anti-HIV agents. I have presented my work at the Southern California Conferences for Undergraduate Research and the California State University Student Research Conference.
I also have experience in computer science, data science, and machine learning. I had the opportunity to intern for PilotCity, where I programmed and prototyped an energy-saving device for SONY.
I have founded and currently lead both the ACS ChemClub and the Girls Who Code/Women in STEM club at my school, where I seek to inspire students to explore chemistry, computer science, and forensics through lectures and interactive activities. I am currently an editor for my school’s newspaper, where I write and edit stories relating to local policy, technology, and forensics.
